Love-note app for couples, built from a non-technical founder's vision

iOS and Android app that helps partners send authentic love notes — not chat, not social — designed end to end with founders who knew exactly what they wanted but did not write code.

WhenYou is Brandon Foote's product, and the engagement is a textbook example of a non-technical founder team needing partners who can translate vision into shipped software without losing the emotional intent. The product is a love-note channel between partners — deliberately not a chat app, deliberately not a social feed — and that distinction had to survive every UX call we made.

We handled iOS, Android, UI/UX, and the full app build. The interaction model centers on writing and sending notes, with partners seeing each other's drafts and finished pieces in a calm, intentional surface. Nothing about the design pushes engagement metrics; everything pushes presence.

The hardest work was restraint. Every commodity app pattern — streaks, reactions, notifications-of-notifications — would have hurt the product. We held the line, shipped what the founders actually wanted, and the result feels like a love letter, not an app.
